Description
2019 brought a dry spring with no rain to follow. The vines responded well and produced some outstanding fruit. It has a bigger structure and more weight than our usual Merlot, showing ripe cherries and red berries with bright crimson hues. Twelve months on aged French and American oak adds minimal oak flavour. Delicious now and given good conditions will suit short term cellaring. Serve with Swiss brown mushrooms, grilled haloumi, eggplant and dried tomato, wrapped in proscuitto with truffle and parsnip mash.
