The 2021 season saw the end of the drought for us. The vines responded well to the replenishing rain although rain in March brought some challenges. This wine is hand plunged in open fermenters before being basket pressed and racked into barrels to complete the malolactic fermentation. A lively palate and some bright plum fruit followed by mouthwatering, velvety tannins that provide a long, firm finish.
10 months maturation in seasoned French oak allows the fruit to shine.
Great drinking now. This wine will show its best if decanted.
Enjoy! Serve it with spaghetti Bolognese.
