2020 Mourvedre Limited Release
The 2020 season was our second year of drought. While our vines set a normal crop, they were then restricted in their ability to develop a full canopy. This forced us to ruthlessly thin the crop, resulting in much smaller yields than usual while still producing some good fruit. This wine shows the classic varietal characters of spice and vibrant savoury dark fruit paired with a fine persistent tannin structure. It’s a great expression of the fruit characters of this variety. Delicious now but has plenty of ageing potential if you can keep it away from your mates for a few years! This wine will show best if decanted.

Maturation in a combination of French and American oak has added complexity without dominating the fruit. Delicious now so why keep it.
Serve it with an antipasto platter.
