Degustation dinner @ Jamworks

A four course degustation dinner matched with old and new wines. We are opening our cellar to show you some of our older wines alongside the current wines. Ever wanted to know about how wines age? Come along and listen to Warren, the winemaker at Pyramids Road Wines and find out what all the fuss is about with old wines. Last August the girls at Jamworks catered for our Vertical tasting dinner of Cabernet wines. They did such a great job that we’re holding another dinner but this time the venue is Jamworks Gourmet Foods.
1st course: seared scallops with honey garlic chorizo and salsa verde served with 2018 Verdelho and 2014 Verdelho.
2nd course: lamb cutlet stuffed with olive tapenade served with sweet potato puree and matched with 2016 Shiraz and 2010 Shiraz.
3rd course: eye filled (medium rare), roast leek, roast potatoes, beetroot chips, pumpkin mash, asparagus and red wine jus served with 2015 Cabernet and 2010 Cabernet.
4th course: layered chocolate pavlova laced with pistachios and Turkish delight served with Mistella.
