Why visit Pyramids Road Wines?
We invite you to experience 20 years of grape growing and winemaking. Wines made with passion and integrity at our beautiful vineyard and winery nestled in the foothills of Girraween. Enjoy an immersive learning experience with the winemaker, Warren Smith, whilst you view the winery action through the window of the historic cellar door.
You certainly won’t forget the beard or the winemaker behind the beard. Watch Warren in action during vintage either plunging a ferment, racking or pressing the wine or bottling your favourite blend.
It’s easy! No joining fees, just a commitment of one dozen wines annually. Exclusive invites to our club member day in February and discounted tickets to events and specialised tastings.
For two years running now, we’ve been awarded the Trip Advisor “Traveller’s Choice Award”. Before you visit, hear what others have to say about us.
“I highly recommend you visit Warren and Sue at Pyramid Road Wines. As someone who didn’t know a lot about winemaking, we left with a wealth of knowledge thanks to Warren. He was a friendly person to chat to and the wine we tried was wonderful. We will certainly be back next year. Great day!”

Strange Bird is the quirky name given to the Granite Belt’s alternative grape varieties. The Granite Belt Alternative Wine Trail was launched in 2007, with new varieties and strange bird wineries added to the trail each vintage. This tour is perfect for those who like something different and for those with a sense of adventure and those who want to educate their palate.
Established in 1999 and hand planted by Warren and Sue, the vineyard is where they spend most of their time. Composted and mulched, the vines are carefully tended using sustainable practices. Waste from the winery is added to the compost pile and makes its way eventually back to the vineyard.
Many of our customers return to help us for the annual harvest. Escape the hustle and bustle of the city and soak up the peaceful nature of the bush. Picking grapes for the day and next day crushing the fruits of your labour. See what happens on the crushing day.
Angus is the Clayton’s winery dog. A red Kelpie cross who has learnt everything he knows from Ralph, our previous winery dog. A visit is not complete without a pat for Angus. His gentle nature ensures you will be wooed by him and want to return just to see him.
